Started back in 1965, Kingsport Speedway in Kingsport, Tennesee, was a small dirt track holding local races. A few years later, this track would be paved over and continue to grow into the 0.375-mile concrete oval it is today. Eventually, we became sanctioned by the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series™ (NWAAS). Established back in 1982, the NWAAS sanctions many of the top paved and dirt tracks across the United States and Canada.
